This was my first ever published picture. I was asked to photograph The Yachts at the Hatfield Forum back in 1978 for their record company.
I arrived early and on came the support band. At the time a little-known band called the Tourists so I started to take some pictures…. They were amazing. The next day I found their manager and showed him some prints. He pointed me to Sounds Magazine and I made my first ever sale, which was equal to my week’s wages as an assistant!
