This policy explains how DLP Studio 101 (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles your personal data when you use the DLP Print Store at davidlevine.co.uk.

Who we are

DLP Studio 101 is a photography business run by David Levine. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

IIf you have any question about your data, contact us at privacy@davidlevine.co.uk. We do not publish a postal address, as we are a self employed business. A correspondence address is available on request where one is legally required.

What data we collect and why

Orders

When you place an order, we collect the details needed to fulfil it: your name, email address, delivery address and, if you give it, your phone number. We use these to take payment, make and send your print, keep you updated about your order and deal with any returns or problems.

Payments are processed by Square. We do not see or store your full card details. Square handles those directly. You can read Square’s privacy terms on their website.

Your account

If you create an account, we store the details you give us, such as your name, email address, delivery address and order history, so you can check out faster and see your past orders. Our store runs on WordPress and WooCommerce, which also record your IP address and browser information when you log in or place an order, to keep the shop secure and to help spot fraud and spam.

Questions and support

If you email us or use a contact or support form, we receive the details you give us, such as your name, email address and your message. We use these only to reply to you and to sort out your question or order.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website.

Essential cookies. The store uses basic cookies that are needed to make it work: to keep your basket, to take you through checkout and to remember your login if you have an account. These do not need your consent.

Order source cookies. When you arrive at the store, WooCommerce stores a few details in cookies about how you got here, such as a search engine, a link on another website or a link you typed in, along with the pages you looked at in that visit. If you place an order, this is saved with your order. We use it only to understand which links and places bring customers to the store. It is not used to build a profile of you or to show you advertising.

We do not use advertising cookies or Google Analytics on this site.

You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, the basket and checkout may not work.

How long we keep your data

We keep order records for six years to meet UK tax and accounting rules. We keep enquiry and support emails only as long as we need them to deal with your request, and then delete them. Account details are kept until you ask us to remove your account, apart from any order records we are legally required to keep.

Who we share data with

We share data only where needed to run the store and get your order to you. This includes Square for taking payment, the couriers and delivery services that deliver your order, and anyone who prints or packs it for us. They only receive what they need to do that job. We use automated spam checking on the store to keep it secure. We do not sell your data to anyone.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the data we hold about you
• ask us to correct data that is wrong
• ask us to delete your data
• ask us to limit how we use it
• object to how we use it
• ask for your data in a portable format

To use any of these rights, email privacy@dlpstudio101.com.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first at privacy@dlpstudio101.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you how we plan to deal with it.

If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
