This policy explains how DLP Studio 101 (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles your personal data. It applies to all of the following websites, which we operate:
Who we are
DLP Studio 101 is a photography business run by David Levine. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
If you have any question about your data, contact us at privacy@dlpstudio101.com. We do not publish a postal address, as we are a self employed business. A correspondence address is available on request where one is legally required.
What data we collect and why
Booking and contact enquiries
When you use a booking or contact form on any of our sites, we receive the details you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number and any message or session details. These forms send the information to us by email. They are not stored in a website database.
We use this data only to reply to you and to arrange any session or work you ask about.
Print orders
When you place an order on davidlevine.co.uk, we collect the details needed to fulfil it, such as your name, email address and delivery address. Payments are processed by Square. We do not see or store your full card details. Square handles those directly. You can read Square’s privacy terms on their website.
Comments and accounts
Our sites run on WordPress. If you leave a comment or create an account, we store the details you provide, along with your IP address and browser information, to help detect spam and manage your account.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website.
Essential cookies. Our sites use basic cookies needed to make pages work, to remember your login if you have an account, and to keep your basket on the print store. These do not need your consent.
Analytics cookies. Some of our sites, including darblaystreet.com, use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. These cookies are only set where the law allows or where you have given consent. You can refuse them through the cookie banner or your browser settings, and the site will still work.
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry emails only as long as we need them to deal with your request, and then delete them. Order records are kept for six years to meet UK tax and accounting rules. Comment and account data is kept until you ask us to remove it.
Who we share data with
We share data only where needed to run the business. This includes Square for payments, Google for analytics on sites that use it, and automated spam checking on comments. We do not sell your data to anyone.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the data we hold about you
- ask us to correct data that is wrong
- ask us to delete your data
- ask us to limit how we use it
- object to how we use it
- ask for your data in a portable format
To use any of these rights, email privacy@dlpstudio101.com.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first at privacy@dlpstudio101.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you how we plan to deal with it.
If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
